On June 23, 2023, in the concert hall of the “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” National Academy of Music, the winners of the “Musician of the Year 2022” survey were announced, which was held for the 32nd time in a row among the listeners of the program “Allegro vivache” on “Horizon” “. The gala concert was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture.
For the second time in the history of the poll, listeners strongly voted for “Music Manager of the Year”. With their huge support, the award in this category went to Kremena Oksenkrug – director of the Symphony Orchestra in Sliven.
Kremena Nikolova-Oksenkrug was already well known to the public as a violinist with an active concert activity and her own festival in Venice, when due to the pandemic she returned home to Sliven and after a competition took the lead of the Sliven Symphony Orchestra. Two inspiring seasons followed, with many pleasant surprises for music lovers in the city, with famous guests from the country and abroad – names who visited only Sliven. In the meantime, she began teaching as the youngest violin professor at the Conservatory of Mons, Belgium.
In 2022, Kremena Oksenkrug received the “Crystal Lyre” audience award from the Union of Bulgarian Music and Dance Actors and the Cantus Firmus agency, and the jubilee, 90th season of the Sliven orchestra, whose presence on the capital’s stage also made a strong impression, ended brilliantly the day before the Musician of the Year 2022 ceremony.
Kremena Oksenkrug has proven to be an excellent manager who can organize and can also stand as a soloist in front of the team she leads.
